Summer’s really heating up. Learn how to make these treats to stay cool, inspired by Neverland. From Mermaid Lagoon lollies to pirate fruit lollies, all you need to do is mix, pour, freeze and enjoy!
You’ll need
Ice lolly moulds
Fruit juice, yoghurt or smoothie
Soft fruit (optional)
A spoon
A bowl
A freezer
A grown-up helper
Wendy’s top tip: No lolly moulds? Ask a grown-up to help you use small freezer-safe cups and lolly sticks.
Before you start
Wash your hands and ask a grown-up to help with chopping fruit, pouring and using the freezer.
Pick your lolly – you can find Wendy’s favourite lollies below!
Mermaid Lagoon lolly
Use apple juice, berry juice or your favourite smoothie, and add blueberries for lagoon bubbles.
Tinkerbell’s fairy dust lolly
Use yoghurt mixed with banana, mango or berries, and add tiny fruit pieces for fairy jewels.
Hook’s secret treasure lolly
Use orange juice, mango smoothie or tropical juice, and hide soft fruit inside as pirate treasure.
Peter’s flying fruit lolly
Use your favourite juice or smoothie and stack fruit pieces to make them look like they’re flying.
Get started
Pour your juice, yoghurt or smoothie into a bowl with a spout or a jug (make sure you ask a grown-up for help if the jug is heavy!).
Stir it with a spoon.
Add your fruit
Ask a grown-up to help cut the fruit into small pieces.
Put a few small pieces of soft fruit into each lolly mould.
You can use any fruit – here are a few of the Lost Boys and Girls’ top picks!
Blueberries
Strawberries
Banana
Mango
Raspberries
Pour and freeze
Carefully pour the mix into the lolly moulds.
Put the lids or sticks on top of the lolly moulds.
Ask a grown-up to help place the moulds or cups in the freezer – be careful not to spill any!
Now, you need to be patient like Wendy and wait for the mixture to freeze solid. This will take a few hours – why not go on an adventure while you’re waiting!
Enjoy!
When your lollies are ready, ask a grown-up to help take them out and enjoy!
Wendy’s trick – If they’re stuck, run the outside of the mould under warm water for a few seconds.
Try giving your new lolly creation a magical name fit for Neverland.
