Don’t wake the Crocodile!

Can you hear that ticking? Play the Crocodile's favourite game and test your sneaking skills... who can get to the treasure first!

You can play this game with 2+ players and all you need is something for the Crocodile to keep as its treasure. To win the game, a player needs to reach the Crocodile and get back safety with the treasure without being caught. But the Crocodile wins if they catch everyone first!

1. Ask a grown-up to make sure there isn't anything to trip or fall on in the room you're playing in.
   
   
2. Get ready to start… one player needs to be the Crocodile! If you are the Crocodile, stand at one side of the room and put the treasure on the floor in front of you.
   
   
3. Now turn around and close your eyes.
   
   
4. For the other players, you'll need to stand at the other end of the room, on the opposite side of the Crocodile. The goal is to sneak to the Crocodile without getting caught!
   
   
5. Next, ask the Crocodile; "What's the time Crocodile?".
   
   
6. The Crocodile can pick a time on a clock (such as 2 o'clock) and the players need to take the same number of steps forward. For example, if the Crocodile says 2 o'clock, take 2 steps forwards and if it says 6 o'clock, take 6 steps forward.
   
   
7. Watch out - if the Crocodile says  "bedtime" everyone must freeze! Don"t let the Crocodile see that you're awake or you're out.
   
   
8. Keep going until a player reaches the Crocodile and takes the treasure back to safety.

The Crocodile’s top tips:

• The Crocodile can tell you to tiptoe, crawl or hop to make the game more difficult.
• For a quiet challenge, all players must be silent when moving and if the Crocodile says ‘I hear you’ then you’re out!
